Many people didn’t grow up around firearms or serve in the military, including me. As a husband and father, I saw the need to protect my loved ones and took it upon myself to learn. Through years of training with elite instructors like John Lovell of Warrior Poet Society and the Texas Department of Public Safety, searching YouTube for answers and sending several thousands of rounds down range, I gained the skills and knowledge I once lacked. Along the way, I became a Firearms Instructor with the NRA and a licensed Instructor for Texas LTC and First Responder Tactics courses.
So, why did I create Texas Firearm Training Company? In short, because too many people are unwilling to pursue the training they need out of fear of judgement and the unknown. Firearms can be intimidating when you’re new, especially when you don’t know the first thing about the subject. We’ve all been to the range or gun store where some grouchy staff member makes you feel like an idiot for not knowing how things work. It’s a real problem in our industry, so we’re doing our small part to fix that where we can.
Our mission is to provide an approachable, no-judgment environment where anyone—regardless of their background—can access high-quality training. Whether you’re a beginner looking to gain confidence or an experienced shooter refining your skills, our programs are designed to empower you with practical, actionable knowledge. We focus not just on firearm proficiency but on mindset, preparedness, and the legal and ethical responsibilities of carrying a weapon.

The American Defense Coalition is a Texas based non-profit organization created to help people access critical training in firearms, self-defense, first aid and more, all without the financial burden.
